Hauling in for the day?
Our new staging area opened the summer of 2023. Please follow the signs on the NORTH side of the road which state, "Horse staging area". If you enter the Equestrian Camp, you are in the wrong place to day ride. Parking on a campsite may result in a ticket or charge from the DNR.
Since the staging area is new, an address has not yet been assigned. Follow posted signs. See photo to left here.
Please note: Riders should depart by 10pm. See the DNR website for park closing information.

Trail Markers
Trail markers are the same color as the printable map below.
Trails are marked mainly at intersections & crossings. Some trails may not have current markers. As with all trails, markers can be damaged for any reason. It is always best to have a GPS tracker installed on your phone or to become knowledgeable on how to read a trail map before heading out on any trail. STAY OFF HIKING TRAILS.
Trail footing
The trails at Yankee are known to be mostly sandy with some rocky areas. We do our best to maintain footing.
Something to consider however, mother nature doesn't ever take a break. The terrain will be ever changing and out of our control. You are riding in the woods/fields. None of the trails should ever be expected to be perfectly groomed. The day we cut down overgrowth, it starts growing again. Immediately. Could trails have overgrowth? Yes. Downed trees? Yes. Thorns? Yes. Unexpected obstacles? Yes.
