Have you ever attended a board meeting?
We highly encourage you come!
You can come and simply listen, enjoy the food and meet everyone. Or you can come as an active participant and get in on the conversation. It is very low key, friendly and meetings are "come and go" as you can. If you cannot stay for a full meeting or have to come late, please do.
Why you should attend a meeting:
As I was once very new myself, I can admit from 1st hand experience that everything I thought I knew about our local trail association, was wrong. Myself (and many people that I rode with) were all quite ignorant to what our trail groups do and don't do.
I also was never sure how I could help when I had such a busy schedule. I asked myself, "why attend, I can't do anything to help anyway." I was pleasantly surprised to find out otherwise.
Taking the time to attend my 1st meeting truly opened my eyes. There are opportunities everywhere. And just getting knowledge of what our trail groups do, was worth taking the time for.
After attending my first meeting, I was hooked. Then my husband joined. And along came several of our close friends soon after.
Meetings are open to the public.
You do not have to be a member to attend.
If you wish to vote on a topic, you DO need to be a member.
When are meetings?
We will post to our Facebook page and here, when a meeting is coming up. We only meet when there is business to be discussed. We use to meet every month however we found that we truly didn't have any, "new news/business" each and every month. Especially in the winter months when there isn't much work we can do in camp and on the trails.
