Yankee Springs Equestrian trails are mainly sandy. There are a few rocky parts, but nothing that keeps us away! This is the local's home away from home.
The 9 Mile: Great for any rider. This trail system is mainly sandy with a few rocky spots. It does have hills and some rougher terrain, but our riders of all ages and skill levels love the scenery!
The 6 Mile: We would rate this trail great for any beginner rider. Minimal rocks and easily navigable terrain. You can cut your trip short by taking Duffy road back to camp.
The 4 Mile: This trail is known for it's more rocky terrain. It does have some steep hills but the scenes are WORTH IT! Find yourself on top of a high ridge looking down into the forest and you can sometimes see Gun Lake on a beautiful fall day when the leaves aren't so thick.
TRAILS ARE FOR EQUESTRIAN USE ONLY
*Pack out what you pack in. Please do not litter our trails.
*Use general courtesy. Smaller groups should (if able) pull off the trail to allow for larger groups to pass.
*Clean up manure at your campsite and the staging area after use. Manure does not need to be picked up on the campground roads (but it is definitely appreciated if you find the time!).
*Stay on your designated trails. Several trails cross non-equestrian trails. Do not risk our trails being taken from us by using trails not designated for you.
*Do not use the obstacle course for anything other than your equines.
Everyone appreciates your help and consideration!
